Cancellation and refund policy
Understand our cancellation terms, refund timelines, and how to cancel a booking.
We aim to make cancellations as straightforward as possible whilst being fair to both guests and providers.
Cancellation windows
- Within 48 hours of booking (before access): Full refund
- More than 14 days before start date: Full refund minus £10 admin fee
- 7-14 days before start date: 75% refund
- Less than 7 days before start date: 50% refund
- After storage begins: Prorated refund with 7 days' notice
Important
Once you've accessed the storage space, the 48-hour cooling-off period no longer applies.
How to cancel

Log in to your account
Access your Barn & Bay dashboard using your email and password.

Find your booking
Navigate to 'My Bookings' and select the booking you wish to cancel.

Request cancellation
Click 'Cancel Booking' and select your reason from the dropdown.

Confirm
Review the refund amount and confirm your cancellation.
Refund processing
Refunds are processed within 5-7 working days and returned to your original payment method. If paying by bank transfer, ensure your account details are up to date.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get a full refund after the 48-hour window?
In exceptional circumstances (e.g., provider fault), we may offer a full refund. Contact support with details.
What if I dispute a partial refund?
You can raise a dispute through our resolution centre within 14 days of the refund.
