Verifying your vehicle
How we verify vehicle details and why it's required.
3 min readUpdated 13 Jan 2025
Vehicle verification ensures providers know what's being stored and helps with insurance requirements.
How it works
When you enter a UK registration number, we check it against DVLA records to confirm the vehicle exists and retrieve basic details.
Information retrieved
- Make and model
- Vehicle type
- Colour
- Year of registration
- MOT and tax status
We don't access ownership details or personal information from the DVLA.
Non-UK vehicles
For non-UK registered vehicles, you'll need to manually enter details and may be asked for supporting documentation.
Frequently asked questions
What if my vehicle isn't found?
