When deposits apply
Deposits are at the provider's discretion and are typically requested for higher-value spaces, new customers, or month-to-month bookings without a minimum term.
Typical deposit amounts
- Equivalent to one month's storage
- Maximum of £500 unless agreed otherwise
- Clearly displayed before you complete booking
Deposit returns
Deposits are returned within 14 days of your booking ending, provided no damage claims are outstanding. Returns go to your original payment method.
Deposits may be retained if there's damage to the storage space or unpaid fees at the end of your booking.

No, deposits are separate from rent and cannot be used for final payments.
